Mitchell Modell was the Chief Executive Officer of Modell’s Sporting Goods until 2020. Founded in 1889 by Mitchell’s great grandfather, Morris A. Modell, Modell’s was America’s oldest and largest family-owned and operated sporting goods company. Today, Mitchell is CEO and Founder of MMM3 Consulting Group, which consists of Vitiprints and SmartMaskTechnology. Growing up in Hewlett, Long Island and graduating cum laude from Boston University School of Management, Mitchell has always had strong ties to the local community. Modell’s has donated millions of dollars to aid local athletic programs in making sports more accessible and to support several national charities, including Autism Speaks, Breast Cancer Foundation, the Prostate Cancer Foundation, and Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America. Mitchell plays an active role as a member on the Board of Directors for: NYC & Company, the Police Athletic League, the National Retail Federation, and the Jay Baker Retail Advisory Board at the Wharton School of Business. He’s also a member of the World President’s Organization, Friar’s Club, the Greater Miami Beach Police Foundation, and the Havanna Club. Mitchell appeared on the Season 4 premiere episode of the award-winning CBS series Undercover Boss. He resides in South Beach, Florida where he is a full-time resident.
